This is the Nicole Trunfio image I would not have published in Lovecat, the new magazine that I adore and will do everything to support.

In an otherwise sexy editorial of an obviously very thin woman — which is her right — this image concerns me as one of the most submissive and health-questionable images I’ve seen in a long time. My response is visereal, not intellectual.

My readers expect me to comment; they trust me to comment.

The rest of the editorial sizzles but this image diffuses its power for me, reminding me instead of Isabelle Caro. As an editor myself, I fail to see what this image contributes to what was supposed to be a powerful editorial.  Anne
